Book cheap flights to Dubai from across the USA

Flights to Dubai, from $720 one-way

Dubai is one of the easiest long-haul destinations to reach from the United States. Emirates flies non-stop from New York, Newark, Boston, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas and Houston, and the one-stop options through Doha, Istanbul and the European hubs usually undercut them by a couple of hundred dollars if you can spare the extra hours.

The fare you see published is rarely the fare we book. We hold negotiated contract rates with several of the carriers on this route, which is why our starting price sits below the airline site on the same cabin and the same flight. Call us before you book if your dates are flexible by a day or two: on this route that flexibility is often worth more than any promotion.

Before you fly

Travel checklist for your Dubai visit

Passport and UAE visa

US passport holders get a free visa on arrival. Keep the passport valid for at least six months past your arrival date.

Hotel and return booking

Carry proof of where you are staying and your onward ticket. Immigration asks for both often enough to be worth having ready.

On arrival

What to expect when you land in Dubai

Once you are off the plane, follow the signs to immigration. Have your passport ready and expect a short set of questions about the purpose of your visit. Visa on arrival is issued at the desk for eligible passports, so there is nothing to arrange beforehand. Baggage claim is past immigration.

Need cash? The arrivals hall has ATMs and exchange counters, though rates in the city are usually better. Outside you will find the metro, prepaid taxis, private transfers and ride-share pickup. The metro runs from Terminals 1 and 3 and reaches most of the city for a few dirhams.

Questions travellers ask about flights to Dubai

How long is the flight to Dubai from the USA?

Non-stop from the East Coast runs 12 to 13 hours. From the West Coast it is 15 to 16 hours non-stop. One-stop routings through Europe or Doha add roughly four to eight hours depending on the connection.

When is the cheapest time to fly to Dubai?

May through August. It is the hot season, leisure demand drops, and fares fall with it. July is usually the single cheapest month. November to February is peak and can run 40 percent higher.

Do I need a visa for Dubai as a US citizen?

No. US passport holders receive a free 30-day visa on arrival at the airport. Your passport needs at least six months of validity remaining. Other nationalities vary, so tell us your passport when you book and we will check.

Why is your fare lower than the airline website?

We hold negotiated contract fares with several carriers on this route. The flight, the cabin and the baggage allowance are identical. What differs is the commercial arrangement behind the ticket, not the product.

Is it cheaper to fly into Abu Dhabi or Sharjah?

Often yes. Abu Dhabi runs about $40 less and Sharjah about $75 less, but both add an hour or so of ground transfer to central Dubai. If you are travelling light and not in a hurry, the saving is real.

Can you hold a fare while I decide?

Yes. We confirm availability and hold the seat while you check your dates. Payment is taken once you approve the quote, and we tell you upfront what the change and cancellation rules are on that specific fare.
