About The Leela Palace New Delhi
The Leela Palace sits in Chanakyapuri, the quiet diplomatic quarter, which is the main reason guests pick it over the hotels closer to Connaught Place. You are ten minutes from the embassies, about forty from Indira Gandhi International in normal traffic, and far enough from the arterial roads that the rooms stay quiet at night.
The building is modelled on Lutyens-era Delhi, so expect scale: a domed lobby, a lot of marble, and staff who work on first-name terms by the second day. Rooms start at 40 square metres, which is generous for the city. The rooftop pool is heated and open through winter, and Jamavar and Le Cirque are both worth booking before you arrive rather than on the night.

How far is the hotel from Delhi airport?
About 15 km, which is 35 to 45 minutes in normal traffic and closer to an hour during the morning and evening peaks. The hotel runs a transfer service and we can add it to your booking.
Is breakfast included in the rate?
It depends on the room. Deluxe rooms are quoted without breakfast, Grande Deluxe and above include it. If you want breakfast added to a Deluxe rate, ask us and we will usually get it included rather than charged.
Why is your rate lower than the hotel website?
We book this property on a negotiated contract rate rather than the published public rate. That contract is filed with the hotel, so the room and the inclusions are identical. The difference is the commercial terms, not the product.
Can I hold a room without paying now?
Yes. We confirm availability first and hold the room while you decide. Payment is taken once you approve the quote, and cancellation stays free until 24 hours before arrival.
Do you book for groups or events?
Yes, and it is worth calling rather than booking room by room. Above about eight rooms the hotel opens a group rate, which we can hold for longer than a standard booking.
What happens if something goes wrong at check-in?
